about us
On October 1, 2010, CJ’s Closet in Maumee became part of Toledo Area Ministries (TAM) and re-opened as “CJ’s Closet by TAM”. TAM is a non-profit organization that works to meet human need, create community and work for justice through its 9 core ministries.
CJ's Closet is a consignment business that has been locally owned by the same woman for 28 years. Now that she has retired, she has transitioned the business to TAM and TAM will continue to share the customers' joy in finding quality, affordable clothing for weddings, graduations, job interviews, job wardrobes or fun days at the park. Other consignment items include furnished furniture, paintings, home decor and much more.
Through this transition, TAM promises to keep the concept the same; which is to continue to have high consignment receiving standards, affordable prices and professional, helpful and friendly service. A locally owned business in itself is a true benefit to the community and TAM is pleased to keep the store in the same location at Parkway Plaza, Maumee. In so, with the change from CJ’s Closet to TAM, the store will be able to offer even more to the community. After all the consignment fees and overhead is paid, all profits will go to Toledo Area Ministries (www.tamohio.org).
